THE COUNTRY

With a total of five titles at the Africa Cup, Cameroon is the second most successful country on the huge continent after Egypt.

Also a regular guest at the World Cup, the "Lions Indomptables" only made it past the group stage in 1990. The team is currently ranked just 46th in the FIFA world rankings and, as I write these lines, is preparing for the round of 16 of the 2024 AFCON against Nigeria.

THE SHIRT

Equipped by Puma for many years, Cameroon switched to French manufacturer "Le Coq Sportif" in 2019 before finally working with Singaporean company "OneAllSports" from 2022 on.

The last Le Coq Sportif jersey, which was designed for the 2021 Africa Cup in their own country, impresses with its elegant green design and numerous details. There are "scratch marks" of a lion all over the jersey, which are incorporated with iridescent fabric. The Cameroonian flag can be found on the left shoulder and, as is typical for Cameroon, the chest is adorned with two badges: a roaring lion and the federation badge.

The jersey was worn during the Africa Cup. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to say exactly at which match. However, striker Clinton N'Jie has left a good amount of sweat in the shirt, which is why I'm thinking about throwing it in the washing machine...
