Matchprepared Josh Cullen 22.03.23 IRL 🇮🇪 : LAT 🇱🇻 3-2

Manufacturer: Castore

Source: Collector

After almost thirty years with the English supplier Umbro (except for a short stint with New Balance), the Irish Football Association has decided to go for a "rebrand": new crest, new supplier, new jerseys - new success? While Irish fans were happy about the return of the shamrock on their badge, the choice of the new jersey manufacturer was less celebrated. Rather known for supplying mediocre professional teams (yes, I count my favorite club Bayer 04 Leverkusen among them...) with even more mediocre jerseys, the switch to manufacturer “Castore” did not cause any elation. At first glance, the final result of Castore's design department seems like a return to the simple designs of the 80s. Very tidy and simple, the jersey is mainly kept in green, which is interrupted by thin orange and white pinstripes. Even up close, you'll find few small details or special features. In contrast to the fan version, the player version has a transferred Castore emblem and ventilation holes on the sides. The game details are, unusually, under the player number.

The jersey was prepared for Burnley FC midfielder Josh Cullen, who did not play in the match against Latvia.
