Matchworn Shahril Ishak (various games)

Manufacturer: Tiger

Source: Collector

I'm a lover of beer and football jerseys – so this jersey produced by Singaporean beer manufacturer “Tiger” should probably be at the top of my favorites!

While it's certainly a great piece with a classic late-90's/early 2000's design, Singapore's red and white home jersey doesn't quite make it on the top of my hit list.

„The Lions“ wore it (a shirt with the name Tiger on it !?) for a full five years, but only a handful of games with long sleeves. The jersey with the embroidered logo and the sewn-on flag was a personal gift from the Football Association to a collector, who received it together with the matching trousers and shorts as well as a CD of fan hits, among other things.

The number 17 was worn by Shahril Ishak - the second most-capped player in the Singapore national team - who has left his mark on both the jersey and the shorts.

While Tiger don't necessarily brew the best beer, they have at least created an iconic design for their nation with this shirt.
