"And the „Most Boring Football Shirt Of The Year Award” goes to.."

Well, it’s certainly not a spectacular design, but hold on, there are some interesting things to say about this jersey!

The first: a Singaporean national team jersey with Barclay's Premier League patches? Not quite! On closer inspection, they are patches from the “Barclay's Asia Trophy 2015” (also known as the “Premier League Asia Trophy”), a tournament in which clubs from the English Premier League compete against local Asian teams.

In 2015, this was the Singapore national team. Well, not quite: more precisely, the “Singapore XI” – an offshoot of the Singaporean national team, which mainly plays exhibition matches and non-FIFA games. At the “Barclay's Asia Trophy 2015”, the team played two matches: a 0-2 defeat against Stoke City in the match for third place and, prior to that, a 0-4 defeat against Arsenal London – the match from which this jersey originates. It was worn by defender Shakir Hamzah, who has laced up his boots 68 times for his nation.

The jersey really isn't that exciting, but its rarity certainly makes up for it! The highlights are certainly the aforementioned patches and the federation badge, which is made of thick plastic.
