I've already written extensively about Georgian football in the posts about my other Georgia shirts. Click here to learn more about the invasion of Georgian footballers in the Bundesliga, or the fact that searching for Georgia jerseys on the English-speaking internet is a pain in the butt.
After their one-game-stint with Kappa, Georgia, again, started using Adidas shirts. Despite being rather minimalistic, the design features the Georgian federation badge incorporated into its beautiful maroon fabric. It also comes with the dinner-plate-sized badge that’s even larger than the ones on the subsequent Lotto shirts.
I wasn’t even aware that replicas of this jersey were available, until I accidentally found this shirt in perfect condition on German eBay for a mere 30€! Yes, please!
This design was used quite extensively from 1997 to 1999 before Georgia made their switch to Italian manufacturer Lotto.
