Matchworn 1998 Asia games (player unknown)

Manufacturer: FBT

Source: Collector

Thailand jerseys of the 90s were often quite eccentric! Wild shapes and patterns and sometimes even a whole map of Southeast Asia.

As the host of the 1998 Asian Games, Thailand went the extra mile with the jerseys of its athletes: kept in the national colors, the jersey stands out with blue and red splashes and a huge stylized “Wat” (temple), based on the logo of the tournament. There is also a beautifully designed collar.

The jersey was not only worn by footballers, but also by athletes from other disciplines. For example, my jersey was worn by a “Sepak takraw” (football volleyball) player. While the football players wore their name on the back, it was usually a “Thailand” lettering for other sports.
